Obituary of Wayne Hughes Shields

Wayne Hughes Shields, 75, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. Wayne was born on September 23, 1947, in Frankfort, to the late Owen and Effie Hughes Shields. Wayne worked for many years with Toyota as a tool and die machinist.

Wayne is survived by his two daughters; Jennifer Miller of Lexington, and Stacey Shields of Frankfort, grandchildren; Brayden Miller, Braxten Miller and Kerringten Shields.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; Owen and Effie, brother; Owen Shields, three sisters; Louise Decker, Sue Lathrem, and Nancy Johnson.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday August 15, 2023, at 10:00 am. Service to follow at 11:00 am at Choateville Christian Church 1533 Devils Hollow Rd Frankfort.  In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated in his honor to Bluegrass Care Navigators, www.bgcarenav.org
