Obituary of Thelma Jean Clark

Thelma Jean Clark, 73, wife of Glen Michael Clark, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Thelma was born on January 9, 1950 to the late Joe C. and Beatrice O’neal McQueen. Thelma worked for Buffalo Trace Distillery. Thelma was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. “Mama Thelma” to many, she loved everyone and enjoyed cooking and taking care of people. Thelma was an outstanding mom, she would plant flowers, gardening, and taking in the beauty of everything around her. Thelma drove motorcycles, and was also a a truck driver. Thelma painted ceramic pottery and sculptures that adorned her and her childrens home, and she also quite enjoyed wallpapering.  

Thelma is survived by her loving husband Glen Michael Clark, her beloved children; Natalie (Michael) Culp, Melissa (Dewey) Willard, Wayne (Stacy) McDonald, Nina (Ronnie) Adams all of Frankfort, KY; sister Mary Katherine Toppass of Frankfort; brother Davie McQueen of Frankfort; several grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother John McQueen.  

Pallbearers will be Wayne McDonald, Dewey Willard, Ronnie Adams, Mike Culp, Jamie Rogers, Brandon Willard, and honorary pallbearers will be Michael, Shannon, Trentin, Travis, Eric, and Ryan.  

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center Frankfort, beginning at 11 am to 1pm, the funeral service will begin at 1 pm, with Pastor Tim Jumpp officiating, with burial to follow after at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Frankfort, KY.
