Obituary of Gregoria D Obando

Gregoria D. Obando 79, passed away on July 27, 2023 in Frankfort, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving children. Gregoria was born on July 16, 1944 in Nicaragua, to the late Maria Jose Martinez and Manuela Monge Palacio. She was an amazing mother, and enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, and gardening outside with plants and flowers. Gregoria was incredibly compassionate to all, she would help anyone she could. Gregoria helped in raising her beautiful grandkids, and would do anything for her family. A true mom to many. 

Gregoria was preceded in death by her husband, Marcos Jose Obando Salcedo; mother, Manuela, father, Maria; three daughters, Juana (Alfonso) Obando Martinez of Nicuaragua; Sandra (Brian) Slone of Frankfort; Cynthia (Cirilo) Obando of Frankfort; two sons; Marcos Obando Martinez of Nicaragua, Jimmy (Isolina) Obando of Lexington, A very special niece; Raquel (Felix) Diaz of Piketon, Ohio; thirteen brothers and sisters; grandchildren; Ruby, Alfonso, Indira, Sendy, Yaoska Selva; Andrew, Brandon Maupin, Holly M., Nathan and Marcelina Slone, Bryden Alessandra OBando, Alvaro Jr. OBando, and Jimmy OBando Jr.; numerous great grandchildren, Halley OBando, and John OBando.
