



Obituary of Dorsey E. Clark
Dorsey E. Clark, 91, husband of Vicky M. Clark, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born in Woodford County, Kentucky to the late Henry and Ruth Wise Clark on June 23, 1932. Dorsey was the owner of Duell-Clark Funeral Chapel, owner of Clark Monuments, and served as the Woodford County Coroner for 28 years. He was also a member of Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, Landmark Lodge #41 F&M, and a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean War. From the young age of 14, Dorsey knew he wanted to serve others in their time of grief when he began working for D.R. Duell. He continued serving families and meeting the needs of others until 2009. Known for his love of fishing, boating, cooking for others and always sharing a funny joke or story, he loved life and never took it for granted.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David P. (Julie) Clark, Midway, Laura (Clay) Pritchett, AR, Don W. Clark, Lawrenceburg, Daniel E. Clark, Georgetown, Sarah (Andrew) McKenzie, Paintsville, and Jennifer (Travis) Poindexter, NC; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Trenton Clark and his sisters, Henrietta Richardson, Sue Littrell and Judy Hall.
A Memorial Service will be held 6p, Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, with Rev. Todd Lester officiating. A Memorial Visitation will be from 3p until the time of service on Thursday, at the church.
