Obituary of William "Bill" Coffman

In loving memory of William “Bill” Coffman May 3, 1939 – July 18, 2023.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Bill Coffman. He departed this world on July 18, 2023 surrounded with love and the presence of his family. He leaves behind a legacy of joy, kindness and cherished memories that will forever live in our hearts.

Bill had a passion for cheering on his Chicago Cubs and most importantly his family who brought him immense joy. He was very head strong, loyal and loving man. He enjoyed his bourbon, cigars, Frank Sinatra music and his loving dog companions.

He was a devout Catholic, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed spending time outside playing golf. He was a diligent worker and lived life to the fullest. The most important aspect of Bill’s life was his family and his religious beliefs.

Bill Coffman is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Barbara Ann Coffman, son Mark Coffman (Frieda,) of Versailles, KY, Beth Mott (John) of Greenwood, IN, Laura Coffman Orme of Nicholasville, KY, Nancy Kestel (Keith) of Wilmore, KY, Suzanne Coffman Deckard (Rob) of Youngsville, NC . Sister Judith Conley (John) Evans, GA. He is proceeded in death by his parents Marcus and Dorothy Coffman, sisters Betty Ann Prochot (Wally), BoBo Lazar (Ray), Cindy Morrow Coffman. He will be dearly missed by his 9 grandsons and 3 granddaughters, 3 great granddaughters, 8 great grandsons and his dear friends who are left with an emptiness in their hearts that can never be filled. However, we take solace in the memories we shared and the impact he made on our lives.

A celebration of Bill Coffman’s life will be held on August 1, 2023 visitation is at 11:00 am, services at Noon at St Luke’s Catholic Church, Nicholasville, KY. Immediately after the service we will have a luncheon. This will be a time to gather, share stories, and honor the beautiful life he led. We invite anyone whose lives that were touched by Bill to join us, as we remember a truly remarkable person.
