Obituary of Malcolm Wayne Cain Jr.

Malcolm Wayne Cain Jr., 63, husband of Maureen Kay Brown, passed away on July 12, 2023 in Lexington.  Mr. Cain was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 21, 1959 to the late Malcolm Cain and Cecil White. Malcolm took pride in his work; He could build anything from a house to a deck! He was very crafty and artistic. He enjoyed making gifts and keepsakes. He also loved antiquing with Kay and he loved to cook for his family. He was an avid UK fan and he bled blue! Malcolm also known as Mac spent a lot of time with his friends from The Mill. He was strong in staying true to his sobriety.
Malcolm was a member of FaithPoint Church in Lexington and loved worshiping in the house of the Lord!

He is survived by his loving wife Maureen Kay Brown, his daughters Joy (Bill Jordan) Cain, Jamie (Morris Crook) Cain, Christina (Brittany) Geitzenauer, his stepdaughters Shanna (Chad Hagan) Smith, Mistie (Ben) Boggs, Lacey (Cameron) Hurst, his grandchildren Robert Chatman Jr., Baylei Powell, Trenton and Trevynn Crook, Tate and Emmie Boggs, Connor and Peyton Smith, and baby Jenesis. His sisters Theresa (Garry) Goodman, Lynda Gayle (Robert) Clark, his brothers William (Tonia) Gast, Joe (Ashley) Gast. His aunt Shirley (Dave) Kelly, and uncle Elmer (Toni) White.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his grandparents Leonard and Sophia White and his aunt Dorothy.

Services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 1-3 PM at FaithPointe Church.
