Obituary of Jerrel Dean Purvis

Jerrel Dean Purvis, 80, husband of Susan Purvis, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born on May 26, 1943, in Versailles, KY to the late Edith and Everette Purvis, Sr.

Mr. Purvis was a retired mechanic.  He enjoyed traveling and riding motorcycles with his friends and spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Susan, those left to cherish his memory include his son, Ronald “Ron” (Pamela) Purvis; brother, Jesse A. (Valerie) Purvis; grandchildren, Luke Purvis, Christopher Purvis, and Gretchen Purvis.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Purvis is preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne Stokes; and brothers, Pascal Purvis and Everette Purvis, Jr.  

A celebration of life is planned for Friday July 28th from 4pm - 8pm at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
