Obituary of Julia Rowland Horsley

Julia Rowland Horsley, 54, the wife of Butch Horsley, away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Julia was born September 4, 1968, to the late Charles and Dorothy Hedden Rowland in Frankfort, Kentucky. The owner of The Tax House, Julia, made taking care of her customers a priority and enjoyed working with people and helping in general. She cherished Sunday dinners with her family, loved to camp and spend time with her campground family, singing karaoke and shopping.Julia was just a big-hearted person.  

In addition to her loving husband of 29 years, Julia is survived by her children, Paula (Jason Purvis) Rowland of Frankfort, Joshua (Hannah) Harper of Frankfort, Dakota (Mitchell) Palmer of Frankfort, MacKenzie Hopewell of Frankfort, Anthony (Aleaha) Horsley of South Carolina, and Charles McBee of Frankfort; her sister, Raquita Hahn of Lexington; brother, Bo Rowland of Lexington; grandchildren, RyLee Bingham, Avery Rowland, Kinslee Harrod, and Oakley Harrod; a neice, Rebecca (Jay) Hill of Lawrenceburg; her nephew,  Devon (Kelsey) Rowland of Frankfort; great nieces, Lealynn Hill, Jayce Hill and Baby Girl Rowland; and her great nephew, DJ Rowland.  

Julia was preceded in death by her sister, Michele Logan. 

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd, Frankfort, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Mart Noe Officiating. Bruce Daniels, Jeff Taylor, Paul Allen Rearden, Chuck Graffett, Cliff Mankiewicz, Jack Kimberlin, Dave Abney, and Tony Foster will serve as pallbearers. A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, at the funeral home.
