Obituary of Barry Gardner Knight

Barry Gardner Knight, 79, husband of Brenda Knight, passed away on June 26, 2023 in Lexington. Barry was born in Frankfort, Ky on August 2, 1943 to the late Edwin Francis Knight and Flora Violet Gardner Knight. In addition to working with Knight Welding and the Woodford County Sheriff's Department for many years, Barry gave his time serving as a volunteer fireman. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. 

In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by his children, Gardner (Kelly) Knight, and Tammy (Todd) Courtney, both of Versailles; his grandchildren, Mallory (Joe) Knight, Bridget (Josh) McCartt, Corey (Hayley) Courtney, Brittany (Josh) Lowe, Kaitlyn Bowman, and Ashton Courtney; and fourteen great grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie Knight and Phil Knight. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 1:00pm at Clark Funeral Home in Versailles, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private with family. 

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Barry Knight to Shriners Children's Hospital.
