Paul Strotman

Obituary of Paul Joseph Strotman

Paul Joseph Strotman, 56, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully from this world into eternal life on Monday, June 26, 2023, at his home in Frankfort, KY, with his family lovingly by his side after a lengthy battle with Huntington’s Disease. Paul was born to his loving parents Donald Raymond Strotman Sr. and Barbara Brown Strotman on April 2, 1967. Paul attended St. Rita Catholic School and DeSales High School where he excelled at football and track. After graduating high school, Paul attended Kentucky Wesleyan College where he received a football scholarship. Paul played football at KWC for 2 years before transferring to the University of Louisville where he was a member of the football team. Paul graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville.

Paul was married to Charlotte Noel Strotman of Frankfort, KY who he adored. Paul loved the Lord, his family, and the Louisville Cardinals. Paul was an avid University of Louisville fan, especially football. Along with his family, Paul was a Louisville Football season ticket holder since 1995. During the 27 years of tailgating and watching the game Paul loves, many amazing memories were made with his family and friends.

Paul was very proud of his accomplishments as a football player and he liked to talk a lot about winning the Colt Award while at DeSales High School, and his glory days of making many interceptions. However, above all his personal accomplishments, Paul loved his family, and he was most proud of his three sons. He was especially proud when each of them chose to join the military to serve our country. AJ and Blake who served in the Army, and Grant who is currently serving in the Air Force. Although Paul did not serve in the military, he always had a strong love for our country, and he loved to talk about how proud he was of his boys for the commitment and sacrifice they made to serve and protect our great nation.

Left to cherish Paul’s memory is his beloved wife Charlotte Noel Strotman of Frankfort, KY. Also, left to cherish Paul’s memory are his three sons AJ (Sarah) Strotman, Blake (Brittany) Strotman, Grant Strotman, and their mother Alicia Razzino; grandchildren Hadley, Lyla, and Luca; father; Donald Raymond Strotman Sr.; mother Barbara Brown Strotman; brothers Donnie (Debbie) Strotman, Gregg (Sheree) Strotman, Steve (Sonya) Strotman, and Mark Strotman; sisters Renee (Scott) Link, Denise (Greg) Noe, and Amiee (Chuck) Latham; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. All who loved him very much.

Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to Paul’s devoted wife Charlotte for the endless care she provided her loving husband for many years. The love, patience, care, and kindness you have always shown Paul will never be forgotten.
