Obituary of Judith Marie Quire
Judith (Judi) Marie Quire, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 17, 2023, in Frankfort. Judi was born to the late Thomas and Palmina Malvone-Bath on June 18, 1945, in Medford Massachusetts.
Judi worked in the President's office at the University of Kentucky as well as with many dear friends at DataBeam Corp. She was an active member of The Journey on Leestown Road where she was involved in several women’s worship groups. Her love for the lord was palpable in every aspect of her life, and she enjoyed sharing her faith with everyone she met.
Judi was an avid UK Wildcats fan and loved attending basketball and football games. Raising her children and spending time with family and friends is what she held dearest to her heart. She was loving, kind, generous, faithful, had a wonderful sense of humor and a heart for service.
Judi is survived by her daughter, Lisa Netherton of Frankfort; sons, Stan Standifer of Lexington, Paul (Courtney) Quire of Versailles, and Buford (Wendy) Quire of Frankfort; ten grandchildren, Tyler (Asia) Netherton, Brandon Bell, Devin Brewer, Christie Netherton, Darian, Cooper, Maddie, Maisie, and Miles Quire; two great grandchildren, Zoe and Harrison Netherton; many nephews, nieces; and many beloved cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Buford Quire Sr.; sister, Joyce Clark; and grandson, Dustin Woolums.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 12-2 PM, followed by a short service at Clark Legacy Center, located at 3000 Versailles Rd. Frankfort, KY 40601. Judi’s family has requested that friends and family feel free to dress up, dress casually, or wear your favorite UK blue to celebrate Judi’s love for the Wildcats.
