Obituary of Roger Lewis Schmitt

 Roger Lewis Schmitt, 70, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, Roger was born in Miami, Florida, on May 9, 1953, to the late Ludwig and Ruby Evelyn Hammond Schmitt. Roger retired from Eastern State Mental Hospital, where he was employed for many years, helping the handicapped, and many other people. Roger took pride in his work and would always lend a hand to anyone that needed one. Roger enjoyed farming, fishing, and making candles. Roger was married to Elizabeth Hope Lynn Schmitt for over twenty years.

Roger is survived by his three brothers; Wesley Schmitt of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Ludwig Jr., of Monticello, Kentucky, and Bobby, of Crab Orchard, Kentucky. 

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Charles and Henry Schmitt. 

Arrangements have been made at Clark Legacy Center in Frankfort.
