Obituary of Ralph Canter

Ralph Canter, 74, passed away May 11, 2023. He was born December 23, 1948, in Frankfort, Kentucky to the late Ralph and Maudie Mason Canter. Mr. Canter was a member of Southside Christian Church. He retired from the Woodford County Sheriff's office, but his proudest achievement was his time spent with the Woodford County Ambulance Service.   

He is survived by his loving wife Donna Canter of Versailles; daughters, Holly (Nate) Canter-Hollon of Versailles and Victoria (Ashton) Brigden of Versailles; a son, Timothy (Jennifer) Canter of Irvine; sisters, Katrinka Bruner of Versailles and Dorothy Canter of Nicholasville; grandchildren, Tyler Watson, Tori Watson, Trey Hollon, Paxton Drury and Skylar Drury; and his great grandchildren, Jeri Ann Watson and Edward Allen Watson   

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00p, Monday, May 15, 2023, at Southside Christian Church in Versailles, Kentucky, with Rev. Ronnie Hupp and Rev. Robert Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery in Versailles, Kentucky.  Richard Gallimore, Jacob Gallimore, Gary Wayne Coffee, Mark Lancaster, Jay Bruner and Chad Ford will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Sutherland, Ronnie Durbin, Loren Carl, Latrease Cunningham and all current and former employees of the Woodford County Ambulance Service. A Visitation will be held from 11:00a until the time of service on Monday, at the church.
