Obituary of Garrett Raymond Moore
Garrett Raymond "Gary" Moore, 68 passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Gary was a devoted husband and best friend to Tami (Zehnder). He was a loving father to his children Beau Moore (Amy), Ashlee Bailey, Audrey Hooper (Bryce), and Garrett Patterson Moore (Carly). As his 9 grandchildren called him, Partner was a devoted grandfather to Houston and Blake Moore; Trevor and Kenslee Bailey; Bryton and Caroline Hooper; Sawyer, Bristol, and Cheyenne Moore. He was survived by his brother John Moore (Gina); sister Missy Simmons; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Jo Moore.
Gary was employed by Hotwork for 45 years. His many colleagues were loved more like family than co-workers.
Gary was an avid sportsman and animal lover. He held many track and football records at his high school alma mater, Tates Creek. In 1972 he was the first player asked to sign for UK's new football coach Fran Curci. He continued his love for sports by coaching and supporting his children and grandchildren. In his spare time he could always be found feeding the animals or relaxing at Lake Cumberland.
A Celebration of LIfe will be held on Friday, May 26, 4pm -6pm at Clark Legacy Center, 601 E Brannon, Nicholasville, KY. Burial will be private. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to:
