Obituary of Donlan "Donald" Lee Wilson

Donlan “Donald” Lee Wilson, 79, passed away on May 7, 2023. Husband of the late Connie Jenkins Wilson and the late Zelma Smith Wilson, Donald was born on August 24, 1943, to the late Erven and Addie Games Wilson in Woodford County, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, cornhole, riding 4 wheelers and motorcycles, but above all, Donald loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.  

Donald is survived by his children, Teri Cook of Frankfort, Larry Wilson of Frankfort, Jeff (Charity) Wilson of Monterey, Ira Doug (Angela) Lewis of Frankfort, Corey (Amy) Jones of Corinth, and Yolanda "Kity" Diaz of Frankfort; his grandchildren, D.J. Wilson, Justin Bell, J.P. Cook, Shannon Cook, Amanda West, Eric Wilson, Crystal Wilson, Josh Bingham, Daniel Wilson, Ashley Wallace, Tyler Cunningham, Levi Wilson, Lindsey Braden, Hayden Wilson, Isabella Wilson, Jeremiah Lewis, James McDonald, Allison Byrd, Colton Jones, and Macy Jones; and 23 great grandchildren with one on the way.  

In addition to both his first wife, Connie Jenkins Wilson and second wife, Zelma Smith Wilson, Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Erven and Addie Games Wilson; daughters, Janet Wilson and Deiatrice Wilson; son, Tony Wilson; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters.  

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00p, Monday, May 15, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, Kentucky. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, Kentucky. Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 11:00a until the time of service on Monday, at the funeral home.
