Obituary of Johnny Drury

Johnny Drury, 94, husband of the late Nina Lee Drury, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023. He was born in Nicholasville, KY on June 28, 1928 to the late Etta Louise and Arthur Drury. Mr. Drury was a member of Pinkard Baptist Church and was serving as the oldest Deacon for over 70 years. He kept busy working in construction, farming and also gardening.  

Those left to cherish his memory includes his sister, Pat Petrey; brother, Paul Drury; sisters-in-law, Jackie Purdy, Teresa Beasley; and many nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his wife, Nina, of nearly 70 years, and his parents, Mr. Drury is preceded in death by his sisters, Eloise Weaver, Christine Moberly; brothers, Arthur Lewis Drury, Richard Drury, and Robert Gayle Drury.  

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 12:30PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, Brother Jeremy Aliff officiating, with visitation starting at 10AM until the time of the service. Graveside will follow at 1PM at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville. Casketbearers will be, Jeremy Purdy, Paxton Farmer, Josh Routt, Jimmy King, Mark Giurgervich, Ryan Giurgervich, and George Waford.
