Obituary of Michael "Mike" Clarence Lynn

Michael “Mike” Clarence Lynn, 69, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1953, in Frankfort, KY to the late Ruth Hellard and Ralph Lynn. Mike served in the United States Navy and Army National Guard. He retired as a correctional officer for the Department of Corrections in Frankfort, KY. 

Mike was a fan of Westerns, history, and researching genealogy. He was also into riding motorcycles and liked puzzles, reading, and making people laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his daughter, Rebeckah Lynn; son, David (Anna) Lynn; sisters, Regina (Paul) Hellard, Hope Lynn- Schmidt, Sandra (Tom) Robinson; brother, Ralph David (Beate) Lynn; grandchildren, Lex Lynn, Oliver Lynn, Lana Lynn, Savannah Jackson, Nevaeh Lynn; and great grandchild, Luca Jackson.  

He is preceded in death by both of his parents. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 12:30PM, Clark Legacy Center, 3000 Versailles Rd. Frankfort, KY. Josh Rayborn will be officiating. Visitation starts at 10AM and goes on until the time of the service. Graveside service, with military honors, will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 2:30PM. 

Serving as casket bearers will be James Hellard, Michael Hellard, David Lynn, Ralph David Lynn, Jacob Miller, and John Robinson. Thomas Robinson will serve as an honorary casket bearer
