Just finding out on this vernal equinox of my dear friend. About once a month I'd try to google search her since not having a contact number and not on the same social media platforms, usually on a holiday, and this one dawns with so much sadness. I met her what feels like forever ago through a mutual fanclub and then became avid penpals. I felt badly sharing losses with her in my own life the past couple of years, that maybe it was too much with her own struggles, and what a mistake that was! Because Angela always listened with compassion and love. She never judged. She made painful experiences on facebook into a delight by always commenting something beautiful and we both always had each other's backs. If I had rejoined online, she would've been the biggest reason. It's funny how I spoke to her often in my head when i saw things in places or photos I knew she'd like. There was so much to tell her about, but stupid me i was scared and isolated in my own grief, instead of enjoying more time with what feels like one of the best friends i could ever have. We were supposed to meet up in New Orleans more than once, and when I couldn't make it, she called and facetimed and made me feel like i was there! She always always remembered my daughter on holidays and with the most precious gifts, and we loved hearing stories about her and her amazing husband and dog! Russ, our deepest condolences!!!! Angela always signed her letters "Magically", because she really believed in the magic in the world, and she never forced the positivity either. I have an entire bulletin board on my wall filled with her postcards over the decade, i've missed her so much, i hope she knows how much of a huge inspiration she's been to me! I thought you had changed addresses because i didn't get cards back last time i sent!
