Obituary of Carol Rogers

Carol Rogers, 58, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. The daughter of Harold Rogers and Anita Booth Pelfrey, Carol was born September 15, 1964, in Campton, Kentucky. A kind, soft-hearted woman, Carol wore her heart on her sleeve and would help anyone in need, whether she had it or not. She enjoyed reading and her whit and cleverness meant Carol was always down for a great time. When Carol wasn’t engulfed in a good book, or joking around, she was on the phone. Friends, family, neighbors, anyone who wanted to talk, she gave them the time and then some. But above all, Carol loved her family. Her children and grandchildren truly were her passion and her life.

Carol leaves behind her children, Tara (Jason) Powell and Bryce Rogers of South Carolina; sisters, Janice (Bobby) Pelfrey of Stanton and Cheryl (George) Roberts of Versailles; brothers, Raymond (Brenda) Rogers of Versailles, David (Kathy) Rogers of Versailles, Danny (Kim) Rogers of Irvine, and William Rogers of Versailles, along with an abundance of nieces and nephews and her grandchildren; Hunter Powell, Harper Powell, Jordan. Ornelas, and MaKenzie Thomas.

Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Franchescha Martinez, her mother and father and her sister, Effie Bennett. Carol was loved immensely and will truly be missed by all who loved her.

A Private Memorial Service was held on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
