Obituary of Lowell Marc Spivey

Lowell Marc Spivey, 60, husband of Tammy Spivey, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, in Lexington.  Lowell was born in Joliet, Illinois on December 1, 1962, to Barbara Bryant Spivey and the late Wilson Ray Spivey Jr.  He was a railroad engineer with North Folk Southern for many years. Lowell was proud to serve as the former mayor of Hustonville for two terms and was honored as a Kentucky Colonel. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife and mother, Lowell is survived by his children, Sheena Hutchinson, Megan Kirby, and Zack Miser; his brother, Harry Steven Spivey; his sister, Carol Spivey (Andrew) Riechers; niece, Chandler Spivey (Darus) Henson; grandchildren, Zander and Layla; and great-nieces, Alaynna and Aubrey. 

Lowell was preceded in death by his father. 

A funeral service for Lowell Marc Spivey will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, at 2:00pm.  Visitation will be held from 1:00pm till time of service.
