Justin was a friend of mine in AITR and as many have said before me, he could always bring light and laughter into any room. I have many fond memories of being out of breath from laughing at something he said or did. He was also intelligent, astoundingly intelligent; and possessed one of the most gifted minds I have seen. When I heard of his successes after leaving AITR, I was not surprised, as nobody possessed a more powerful skillset. However, when I heard of his passing: I was surprised, shocked, and saddened. The world has lost a remarkable mind and person. May you rest in peace, Justin. Thank you for everything.

I had the pleasure of knowing Justin throughout and after high school, where we became very close friends. Countless nights and days were spent playing video games, hanging out, and exchanging what seemed like endless laughs and stories from our high school days. The relationship that Justin and I upheld was a close but competitive one. Always trying to best each other at whatever game, activity, or random action we were doing. While Justin and I had grown distant in the last year of his life, I will always remember Justin being a genuine, honest, trustworthy, and loving friend who would give you everything he had if needed. On top of Justin's kindness, his intelligence was unmatched. He was highly gifted in Computer Science, Programming, and Math. Justin was always someone who I looked up to and sought guidance from when feeling lost in life. He had helped me with countless computer issues and homework projects, all with expecting nothing in return. There's nothing I wouldn't give to let him know how much he has meant to me over the last three years and how much his memory will mean moving forward. Thank you, Justin, for everything.

When I met Justin, I was an extremely shy introvert but due to his influence, I pulled out of my shell. I never got to thank him for that and if it wasn't for him, I'm not sure where I'd be today. Through Team Green and high school, you brought light and fun into any stressful day and were a protector to all having anyone's back that needed it and I know we'll all keep that in our memories. Rest well and thank you, Justin.

I met Justin when we were in AITR. He has this miraculous way of getting along with anyone, and bringing together groups of total strangers and turning them into best friends. Everything was funnier, and louder, when Justin was around. he was one of the funniest and smartest people I've ever met, and with a huge heart too. He cared about me when I didn't care about myself. He brought me into his friend group after highschool when I didn't really have any friends. We spent every Saturday night for years going to wawa and getting into shenanigans. We had calls that lasted from 8pm to 8am laughing and playing games. These memories will last me a lifetime, though I wish I had more. Our last year together, we didn't speak often, but I'm so so happy you still had people loving you, and caring for you every single day. Thank you for being in my life ❤️

Justin was a great friend but an even better best friend. We met in 6th grade, when I was looking for somewhere to sit during lunch he gave me somewhere to sit. We hit it off from there as soon as we started talking about Minecraft. From Middle school through High school we were the best of friends from hanging out and spending the night at each other houses. Even after we graduated and I started college and he started at Lockheed and Martin we still stayed connected. We met for lunches, traveled together. Many unforgettable memories I have, I made with him. I just can't believe that this happened, that I am writing this now. Justin is a wonderful, smart, caring, person, a friend that was always a realist, and gave mature advice. And I will always be filled with regret that I wasn't there for him when he needed me most. Justin I miss you and the memories we made I will always hold dear to me. Thank you for being my best friend, my brother.

Justin and Lisa came into my life when he was in 5th grade and his mom was assigned to a room next to mine. Lisa, like me, was at work long before other teachers arrived getting her new room ready for the next school year. She brought her son Justin with her, and I liked them both immediately. Justin reminded me of my sons, so full of energy and ready to concur anything, especially technology. Justin was so comfortable talking with adults and he was respectful, but he was also mischievous. Over the years I was blessed with a friendship with Justin’s mom and a love for this brilliant funny child. He joined the robotics team and our journey lasted through his high school years. I cannot say enough about his character. He stayed that mischievous child who loved life and loved his mom and grandma. He would do anything he was asked, but not without some entertaining sass. Both Justin and Lisa were a joy to be around – their laughter was infectious. He was a model of the school academy, as he was employed right out of high school with a prestigious company. He returned to encourage other students to work hard. He cared for his friends with the same dedication, and I know his smile, laughter, the gleam in his eye when he was up to something; will be missed. I will miss you, Justin, but I am so glad for the time I had with you, thank you.

I want to share a specific memory of Justin from when I transitioned from student to teacher while Justin was in AITR. We were pre-planning for the first week back to school and Justin along with some of his classmates took charge of getting the first week activities ready. Justin would make the entire room laugh constantly that we had to keep checking to make sure they were working. This photo in particular always comes to mind when I think of Justin… it is a perfect summary of his heart and his soul. Always being silly and bringing joy no matter where he went! I’m so thankful for the getting to know Justin. He will be missed.

Lisa - thank you for sharing Justin with us in AITR. We are heart broken to hear of his passing. Justin was a bright and goofy student and it was a pleasure to watch him follow his dreams and be successful. He will be missed dearly.
You are in our thoughts, the AITR teachers
