Obituary of George Lee Azbill

George Lee Azbill, age 72 peacefully went to be with his Lord on November 10, 2022 in Frankfort Kentucky. He resided for many years in Skiatook Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, George David Azbill and Nethel Burke, 3 sisters Debra Azbill, Penny Azbill, Terry Azbill, 3 brothers Burnie Azbill, Greg Azbill and Phillip Azbill. He is survived by his daughter Julia Azbill, sisters Sandra Azbill-Veselik (Michael) Marlee Prince, granddaughter Genevieve Godwin, nieces Kimberly Mundt (Michael), April Tuzon (Daniel), Pamela Brody, Ginger Phillips, nephew Nathan Phillips and Phillip Azbill, and many great nieces and nephews.

George enjoyed a long career in the welding industry. He worked for Massey’s Welding in Phoenix and eventually moved on to a long, successful career in the gas/oil/energy industry. He was a mentor to his brothers and many others, training them to become some of the best welders in the United States. He spent many years running crews all over the United States helping build America one industrial plant at a time. George was blessed with unmatched intelligence and talents that he shared with those he came in contact with. He enjoyed building his boat, fishing, building and owning his race car, playing pool and traveling the country. His wit and humor were like no other and will be missed.

There will be no funeral services at his request. George has requested to be cremated and his ashes laid with his brother Burnie’s in Arizona.
