Obituary of Robert Lewis Rice

Owenton – Robert Lewis Rice, 76, was born on February 28, 1946, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was a retired truck driver who loved fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. Robert was a devoted father.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Rice; his mother, Doris Whilhoite; and his sister, Joyce Cummins.

He is survived by his daughter, Cherry (Tommy) Kemper; his sons, Shawn Rice, and Jason Rice; his sisters Donna (Allen) New, and Margaret Nichols; his brother, Tim (Marisol) Lee; his grandsons, Michael (Kim) Freeman, Mark Freeman, and Tyler Rice; his granddaughter, Abby Rice; as well as several great grandchildren; and a bunch of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Michael Freeman, Mark Freeman, Brad Gill, Bill Coomer, James Lee, and Tim Lee. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Humane Society.
