Back in the 80s, Major Juanita Russell served as Divisional League.of Mercy Secretary on staff in the Salvation Army’s Pa./Delaware (Pendel) Division. As her colleague in the Women’s Ministries Department, I was amazed at Major Juanita’s wide range of skills. There was nothing beyond her trying. From lifting heavy boxes of gifts for Nursing Home shut-ins to unbelievable one-woman dramatic presentations Major Juanita could do it all. Juanita Russell was more than a person. Even though small of stature she was always a presence. She accomplished a world of good in her lifetime. Countless friends remember Juanita with all gladness, mourning her being taken from us even as we rejoice in knowing she is with the Jesus she loved and served faithfully until the end. Kay Rader
