Hannah Robbins

Obituary of Hannah E. Robbins

Hannah Elizabeth Robbins, 33, of Danville, KY, died Saturday, October 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Lexington, Hannah is survived by her parents, Patrick Victor and Kathy (Tanis) Robbins; her daughter, Lily Grace Miles, two brothers, Christopher Patrick Robbins of Neptune, NJ and Andrew Kenneth Robbins of Lexington, nephews David Patrick and Nathan Alexander Robbins, and one niece, Kylie Leigh Robbins. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Kenneth and Shirley Tanis of Sparta, NJ and Donald and Shirley Robbins of Freedon, NJ.

Hannah was born Jan. 29, 1989. She attended Lafayette High School in Lexington, where she participated in marching band and swimming, before transferring to Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, VA, where she graduated with honors.

Hannah was a dedicated caregiver, not only caring for the sick and dying in her own family but also pursuing a career as a home-health aide. She loved music and art, pouring herself into making creative decorations and planning events for family and friends. She also loved the outdoors and green and growing things.

Hannah was also an animal lover, becoming a serial adopter of cats and dogs in adulthood. While she never lost her free spirit and wild demeanor, Hannah embraced motherhood and devoted herself to her daughter, Lily. As she blossomed into an adult, she also served as a hub of her family, becoming a peacemaker for her mother, father and brothers.

In the course of her short life, Hannah’s gracious heart touched those around her, and it’s only fitting that her last act on this earth was to serve as an organ donor—while her spirit has left us, Hannah’s heart continues to beat for other people, just as it always has. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

A celebration of Hannah’s life is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 30 at Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville. Visitation and social hour will precede informal services at 1 p.m. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 601 E Brannon Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356. In lieu of flowers, donations may also be offered to local humane societies to honor her memory as an animal lover.
