Jayne was a true friend to my mom, Joan Harrison Skaggs for over 50 years. They met at Spencerian College in Louisville, and became fast friends. They continued to write and visit each other all through their lives. Mom adored Jayne and always spoke of her so lovingly. When I got a teaching assistantship at UK, Jayne welcomed me with loving arms. She had me over to dinner a couple of times, and we ran into each other at Joseph Beth Bookstore. She was always so loving and caring. She is a precious soul and will be sorely missed.
Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones

Jayne was a wonderful fixture in the Agricultural Engineering Department at UK for so many years. She was so nice to everybody. I think she was one of the nicest people I have ever known. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear that this special lady has passed. Jayne made work fun at BAE and was always happy. She really went above and beyond to make things special in the department. RIP Jayne! You will be missed.

Will miss Mom White! She was an amazing woman! She loved to wear bright vibrant colors and big earrings. Cherished memories in High School when she cooked up great dinners, her roast beef with gravy on top of Texas Toast was yummy! The farm in Indiana, I drank milk from a cow.(that was different tasting) Gone from our sight but not from our heart! ❤️

I am so very sorry for your loss. Jayne was always so nice to me and made me feel welcomed in the Ag Engineering Department. I worked with her years and years ago. I was young and just stepping out into the working world. She was such a warm soul. I would admire her bright outfits and we would talk about all kinds of things. The world was definitely a better place because of her.
