I am so thankful to have met Jesse at the Lexington VA. He was always there for me when I was helping a Veteran. The most memorable time was when I went to the ICU to see him and his lovely wife. I told his wife to take a little break and that I would stay with him. I sat and held his hand. Shortly after that my good friend, Steve Lawson, came in, and we both sang hymns. It was amazing. It was truly a pleasure and blessing to have met him.

To the family of Chanel and Jesse's family, one is never ready to say goodbye, but do know that Jesse's light touched the lives of many and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Also know that his life was like the light of an eternal candle, it will never die it will only flicker differently. May you all find comfort under the wings of the angles and from friends and family. RIP Jesse!

To me, my husband was taken from this earth too soon, but God obviously wanted his angel back. He was and will always be my soulmate. His charm, compassion for others, smile, and love for God will always be remembered. On earth he was my protector, my motivator, and my hero. He is now my guardian angel. We never know when God will call us home, so make the best of the time you have on earth.
