Obituary of Michael Matthew Marise

Michael Matthew Marise, 66, husband of Vickie Marise, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born on April 24,1956 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Mary “Dolly” Jackson and William Wesley Marise. Mr. Marise worked for the University of Kentucky as a manager in Parking and Transportation.  

Mr. Marise held his family dear. He loved all movies (especially classic monster movies) and dining out, and enjoyed cooking for his family. He also had a special love for animals, especially for his dog, Bisous; and Valko, his cat; and his “grand-dogs” Auri and Charlie. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vickie; daughter, Sarah (Bjorn Erik) Johansen; son, Erik Marise; sister, Dianna Black; and brother, Bobby (Gloria) Marise; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Wilkins; and brother, WIlliam Marise. 

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 5-8PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Woodford Humane Society.
