Obituary of Rebecca Dunning

Rebecca Dunning, 74, widow of Gordon Robert Dunning, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Herman and Rhoda Whitehouse Blakeman on September 15, 1947. Mrs. Dunning worked as a respiratory therapist for the VA Hospital in Lexington.  She was an active member of Versailles Baptist Church. In addition to serving in the church, she was a member of the Versailles Homemaker’s Club, Neighbors helping Neighbors, the Jenny Musen Mission Group, the Versailles Lions Club and the Woodford County Democratic Party. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jason Nipp, Lexington and Joe (Rachael) Nipp, Versailles; her step children, Robert Keith (Cheryl Baker) of Corydon, IN, Kevin Douglas Dunning of Chillicothe, OH, Tara Ashlay Dunning of Clifton, KY, Jon Cable (Deanna) Morgan of Versailles; grandchildren, Alice Nipp and Charlie Nipp, Courtney A. (Brad) Rardin, Kylie S. Morgan, Jon Cable Morgan II, Kennedy G. Morgan, all of Versailles, Alexandria B. Morgan of Frankfort, Gabrielle A. Dunning of Georgetown, Madison K. Dunning of Denver, CO., McKara K. Dunning of Valdosta, GA, Jaymes Anthony Patton of San Francisco, CA, Hanna E. Jackson of Wilmington, OH; sisters, Carol (Charlie) Amos, Louisville and June (Phillip) Myers, Dayton, OH. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Blakeman.  

A Memorial Service will be held on September 18th at 3PM at the Huffman Pavilion at Falling Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Lions Club and/or to the Jenny Musen Mission Group at Versailles Baptist Church.  www.clarklegacycenter.com
