Obituary of Anna Turpin

Anna M. Turpin, 74, passed away on August 2, 2022 in Lexington.  Anna was born in Harrodsburg, Kentucky on May 25, 1948 to the late Cecil and Nettie Long. She was a bartender with the American Legion Post #341 for many years. Anna was loved by many people, she was an honorable woman and was always loyal. She worked since she was 13 years old and was respected and loved by anyone that came in contact with her. She will be missed dearly.  

She is survived by her sons, Leon (Melitta) Turpin, of Harrodsburg, and Dale (Robin) Turpin, of Nicholasville; her daughter, Dawn (Kenny) Slone, of Lexington; four brothers, Cecil (Helen) Long, David (Della) Long, Denny (Sharon) Long, and Jackie (Janet) Long; three grandchildren, Kandi Turpin, Brandon Turpin, and KJ Slone; three great grandchildren, Kaisley, Booker, and Ella; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Anna was preceded in death by her sister, Celia (Pug) Robinson .

A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post #341 Leestown Rd. on Saturday, August 13th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
