Obituary of Ronald Newby

Ronald Newby, 81, husband of Annie Newby, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was born in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Oscar and Beatrice Shelton Newby on September 11, 1940. Mr. Newby was a farmer, worked at Bluegrass Stockyards and retired from Osram Sylvania. He loved riding horses, being on his farm, tending to his cattle and spending time with family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brad (Johnna) Newby, Versailles, Karen (Randy) Tackett, Junction City and John (Michelle) Newby, Lawrenceburg; his step children, Kathy Balckwell, Lawrenceburg and Greg (Larissa) Weddle, Nashville, TN; his brother, Oscar Dudley (Wilma) Newby, Versailles; grandchildren, Derek and Dustin Newby, Jesse Patrick Devers, Victoria Tackett, Madison Tackett, Kelsey Bergquist, Jacob Newby, Dakota Hays, Dane and Cole Blackwell, and Landon and Zackary Weddle; and his great grandchildren, Rylen Deaton, Dawson Taylor, Aiden Currier, Jayce Currier and Marshall Hines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Christine (Harold) Nichols and Maryland Snapp. 

Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Versailles Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Jesse Devers, Jacob Newby, Derek Newby, Dustin Newby, Dakota Hays, Dane Blackwell, Cole Blackwell and Dean Newby.
