Obituary of George Edward Shuler
George Edward Shuler, 72, husband of Kathleen Marie Saunders Shuler, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was born in Deputy, Indiana to the late William S. and Rose Lewis Shuler on April 11, 1950. He retired from Columbia Gas as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was devoted member of New Life Church. George retired from Kentucky State Police Facility Security as a Sargent. A proud Vietnam Veteran, George loved serving his country. He was an extremely hard worker and enjoyed reading after retirement. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his wife; he loved his family and was always visiting with them and talking to anyone that wanted to talk. He will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, and his church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Jody) Kendall, Frankfort; his sister, Eveline (Ben) Higgs, Lawrenceburg, Mary Tipton, Owenton, Brenda (Clifton) Taylor, Frankfort, Connie Redmon, Richmond, and Jeanette (Jimmy) Collinge, Irvington; his brothers, William (Mary Kay) Shuler, Frankfort, Stony (Katy) Shuler, Owenton, and Jimmy (Kim) Shuler, Owenton; and his grandchildren, James Cloud Kendall and Piper Alexandria Kendall.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. Gene Roberts and Rev. Jim Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Stoney Shuler, Jimmy Shuler, Bill Shuler, Bill Dalzell, Jody Kendall, and Cloud Kendall. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Life Church, Frankfort.
