Obituary of Paul "Pete" Lee Beckley

Paul “Pete” Lee Beckley, 77, widower of Pamela Ann Sheffer Beckley, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022. A native of Frankfort, he was born on September 14, 1944, to the late Byron Bradshaw and Melba Eloise Wilhoit Bradshaw. He retired from the Natural Resources Department with the State of Kentucky. Pete was a Veteran of the US Navy, and he was known as “Doc” to all his Navy buddies. He was devoted to his dogs, Nick and Angie. Pete read veraciously until he couldn’t read any longer, he never saw a book he didn’t want to buy, especially British literature. Though he was from Frankfort, he and Pam moved to Lawrenceburg after his children were out of school and would remain there for the next 20 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Gwyndolyn Wilheim; his son, Paul Marshall Beckley; his brothers, Douglas (Fran) Bradshaw, and Jeffery Bradshaw, both of Frankfort; and his grandson, Nathan Eastburn.

Private graveside service will be held.
