Obituary of Marcia Feltner Damron

Marcia Feltner Damron, age 88, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Pensacola, Florida, passed away fighting cancer at UK Hospital on June 7, 2022. She was born July 3, 1933, in Leslie County, Kentucky to Ralph and Florence Feltner. She was a graduate of Pikeville College Academy and Pikeville College, where she met her husband, Gene Damron. They were married in 1954. Because of Gene's job as an executive with Chrysler Corporation, they lived in various cities across the south and in Rochester, Michigan. Marcia was an avid golfer, and she and Gene enjoyed many years of golf trips with friends across the United States and Bermuda . Marcia also volunteered with the Ladies Auxilliary (“Pink Ladies”) at local hospitals wherever she lived.

Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Gene Damron, her daughter, Ronda Damron of Manchester, Michigan, her son, Ron Damron (Joanna) of Naperville, Illinois and grandson Will Damron of Scottsdale, Arizona, and granddaughter Emily Damron of Chicago, Illinois. Marcia will also be greatly missed by her loving sister, Betty Wilmore of Winchester, Kentucky. A private family service will be conducted at a later time.
