Obituary of Erna Tereese "Teri" Abraham Annibale

Erna Tereese "Teri" Abraham Annibale, 75.  (February 23, 1947 - May 27, 2022). Lexington, KY. 

Teri passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 27, 2022 after a long battle with Dementia. Her family wishes to express gratitude to the Mayfair Manor who took excellent care of her for the last 5 years, treating her with so much love and dignity, as did Central Baptist Hospital ICU in her last days.

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Teri was an only child of the late Julius and May Abraham.  She was a graduate of Henry Clay HS, attended Morehead State University, and was artistically talented.  One her favorite jobs was with Wheels, as she loved helping older people in need. Erna also had a special love of animals, and can be seen in many of her pictures holding a cat.  Her family has attended Temple Adath Israel for three generations. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jana (Mark) Brooking, of Lexington; her grandsons, Ryan and Kevin LaZur, of Lexington, and many beloved cousins whom she held dear to her heart.

In addition to her parents, Erna was preceded in death by many Aunts and Uncles from the Abraham and Diamond families.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 1:00pm at Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville-Brannon Crossing. A gathering of friends and family will immediately follow from 2:00-4:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Erna to Sanders Brown Center on Aging and Alzheimer's Disease Research Center; as well as Temple Adath Israel.
