Such a wonderful family that Carol and I have been blessed to watch as they worked and played together over the years! Truly inspiring to watch Kendall and Conner grow and compete over the years, and nothing would honor your Mom more than to keep being the wonderful people you are. She and Dad took such great pride in your outstanding accomplishments. Ray, always a friend with more energy than any of us combined! You will never forget, and the loss will always remain part of you, but you will learn to smile again, Thanks for all you and Dawn gave to others while guiding your own sons and daughter along, and we will always be here for all of you. Love and encouragement to remember all the good times, and to learn from her courageous example: life is worth living! Rich & Carol

I have so many memories with you, but my fondest were when I was young, getting up early and going Black Friday shopping with you. Which we tried to keep that tradition up, even recently. I’m glad we got to go this past year! You’ll definitely be missed , Aunt Dawn. Love you!

Dawn, I will never forget your kind phone call when we were living in Florida preparing to move to Kentucky. You were one of the first to welcome us to the LCA family. I was so grateful for all the support you gave us in our transition and during our short time in Lexington. Although it was only a year you were a friend that I knew would be very dear and would always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for blessing our family with your kindness and friendship. The Furgasons will never forget this. As for you, Ray, Connor, and Kendall, we are praying for you all as you mourn Dawn not physically being with you. I know she is in Heaven preparing a special place for all of Us to meet up someday. What a day it will be when all of us will be able to SEE what she is SEEING right now.
With all our love and sympathy, Amy, Chad, Luke, and Cole

I met Dawn very early on when she attended Sister Lakes Elementary, then we were band kids together throughout Jr High and High School. After we graduated, we both ended up in the health care field and worked for many many years together at Lee Memorial . We both loved NASCAR. When she moved to Kentucky, we kept in contact on Facebook and I could tell she was so very happy in her life. Soar high my friend!

Dawn was a dear friend for many years back to our days working at Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac, Michigan. When she was first diagnosed back about 2006 she shared the news with me, she was newly dovorced from Dave, raising her son Josh. She was scared. We cried. But she always rallied with a positive attitude . We went shopping several times for wigs, scarves, snoods and she wore them all with pride. She was private. Rarely complained . Remember when she was dating, met a few guys but was most interested in Ray. The “really nice guy with 2 kids”. She loved kids. I encouraged her to follow her heart and she did. She was happy. Loved her 3 kids. TY Ray for giving her loving happiness and support all these years. Miss you dear friend, love you. Rest In Peace.
