Obituary of Kenneth Morris Martin

Kenneth Morris Martin, 79, of Nicholasville, KY, passed away on March 17, 2022. Ken was preceded in death, by his wife of 45 years, Anne Stiene-Martin in August of 2020.

Ken was born to Edna Martin Felts and Wilbur Morris Martin in Elkin, NC. He graduated ECU with a BS in Medical Technology, followed by a Masters in Pathology at UT, Memphis. He spent time working as an Associate Professor of Medical Technology at UK and retired as Administrative Director for Laboratory Services and Cardiovascular Center, St. Josephs’ Hospital in Lexington, KY, 1999. He was able to enjoy many years in retirement traveling with his wife. His passion was always flying airplanes, and he took every opportunity as a pilot, to fly, even building and flying his own helicopter from a kit.

Ken is survived by daughter, Kimberly Martin, son-in-law, Jesse Moore, brother, Phillip Martin, sister-in-law, Elaine Martin, nephew, Jon Martin, niece, Jeny Martin and grandnieces, Lexxie and Serenity Martin, grandson Corey Martin, granddaughter-in-law, Kaysie Martin, and great-grandchildren, Kayden, and Conner Martin.

Services will be held at Pax Christi Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 11:00 am, followed by a Gathering of Friends and Family, Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, 1:00pm-3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ken's honor to a favorite local charity of your choice.
