Jim was a good Friend for over 35 years, including 15 when we worked together. He was a strong Christian and a proud American having served his country. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jim was such a kind-hearted man. Although his tour in Vietnam did not coincide with my late husband Jack’s, we became friendly during my tenure as secretary/treasurer of the Echo Company, Second Battalion, Third Marines association. Throughout Jack’s struggles with two Agent Orange-induced illnesses, Jim continually provided comfort through handwritten cards, phone calls, and especially his thoughtful gifts of self-created CDs of various musical genres — oldies, country, blues, classical. Those CDs provided Jack with hours of respite during his difficult times.
During Jim’s good days and bad, as he fought his battle with his illness, he always remembered his brother Marine Jack and kept in touch with me through the years. He was the personification of the Marine Corps motto “Semper Fidelis” (always faithful). Jim was a man beloved by his large family and many friends. He will be missed.
My sincere condolences.

We were very saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He was a good man who built relationships with everyone he met. I remember when he convinced my company to try Rockwell/Meritor transmissions, brakes and just whatever they made. Previous to meeting Jim, we had none of his products. When I retired, most all of our equipment was ordered with Meritor parts. All on the strength of his word and his ability to quickly produce parts when we needed some under warranty. We remained friends long after we both retired. We will miss him and his quick wit. God has embraced this man.

Renfro Family,
So heartbroken to hear of James passing.
I have wonderful memories of High School together....a lot of fun and laughter.
Also a few years ago when he was singing and entertaining at Nursing homes....
It warmed my heart to see everyone enjoying his music. He said he wanted to
make up for past mistakes....and give back.
Those Memories bring me comfort....I hope your Memories of Happy times
will be of comfort to you.
I will be thinking of you with Love and Prayers. ❤
Love,
Connie Taylor
