Obituary of Shelby Jean Tipton

Shelby Jean Tipton, 84, widow of George Tipton, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022. She was born in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Marion and Frances Stratton on August 30, 1937. Ms. Tipton was a member of Fintville Community Church and retired from Woodford Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by daughters, Corneila Joyce Kinder,  Melissa Carol Lemire, sons Charley Tensley Tipton, Phillip Winville Tipton, Douglas Thomas Tipton, sisters, Beverly Hughes, Debbie Brumback, Laura Carpenter, and Mary Jane Bain, brothers, Charles Stratton,and Marion Lewis Stratton, grandchildren, Becky Owens, Amy Tipton, Tracy Tipton, Christine Kingery, Dean Tipton, Chrissy Hunter, Donnie Kinder, Thomas Tipton, Mark Tipton, Kelly Napier and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Thomas Kinder, her great grandson, Logan Tipton, and brother, John William Stratton. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March,5 2022 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill. Rev. Rick Lawson will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Donnie Kinder, Dean Tipton, Mark Tipton, Gabe Kinder, Benjamin Kinder, and Thomas Tipton. Honorary casketbearer will be Steven Thomas Kinder. Visitation will be from 11 am until the time of service.
