Obituary of Richard James Young, Jr.

Richard James Young, Jr., 84, husband of 57 years to Karin Young died on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at his residence.  He was born in Rochester, NY on January 8, 1938 to the late Richard James Young and Doris Mae Fisher Hone.  Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from IBM/Lexmark and H&R Block as an Accountant.  He was a member of First Assembly of God in Lexington, KY.  Other than his wife Karin he is survived by four children, Erik Young, Lexington, KY, Stephanie (Timothy) Bates, Lawrenceburg, KY, Kristina (Randy) McCracken, Nicholasville, KY and Timothy Young, Versailles, KY; seven grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, Croston McCracken, Gretchen Olivia, Colin and Monika Bates; one brother, Lawrence Young; one sister, Sarah (Don) Dean, Versailles, KY; .  A private graveside service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Assembly of God missionary, Lisa Leliaert, who serves in a high risk country. Make checks out to First Assembly of God Lexington and put Lisa Leliaert in the memo section.
