My family has known Bill, whom everyone knows him as Mr. Bill, as he was a school bus driver, for approximately 8 years. He drove my grandson to school for preschool and kindergarten. Landen loved Mr Bill and Bill really liked Landen. I was very proud when Bill accepted a favor to be a mentor to Landen. Bill said, "I'd be honored. " OMG, we were the ones to be "honored". Bill was the most patient, kind and generous person I have ever met! He loved all the kids he drove for and even kids he had yet to drive to school. He took Landen fishing, other outings and even just ice cream on a hot summer day. Bill and Peg would drive around the neighborhood visiting and passing out his all time favorite treat, bubblegum! Bill we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Rest easy. We love you and will miss you!

Bill was not only a great and kind man, but a loving husband. I last saw him in Sanford, NC at a wedding and he could not have been more gracious to my family....even though one of my son's was bouncing around his hotel bedroom. Bill, you will be dearly missed by so many. Please watch over GAP, as I know you will, until we see you again. Love from The Northern Virginia Weber's

I’m so sad to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a super nice guy & always spoke to me in passing. We didn’t get much one on one time as we had different schedules at the bus garage. He will be truly missed by everyone. May God be with you during this difficult time.

Only knew "Mr. Bill" for a few years, when we were school bus drivers for JCS. We both had JCTC routes, and would often have conversations in the bus lane, before the students boarded. He was a compassionate person, and very popular with his kiddoes, their parents, and many faculty and staff at the school. They all loved "Mr. Bill". RIP, my friend. Till we meet again.
