Obituary of Elmer Ray Frost

Lexington - Elmer Ray Frost, 66, husband of Clare Mitchell Frost, passed away on January 22, 2022 in Lexington. Ray was born in Richmond, Kentucky on October 6, 1955 to the late Elmer and Ruth Smallwood Frost. He was the owner of Ray's Tattoo Studio in Lexington. In addition to being a tattoo artist, Ray was a tool and die maker, gunsmith and he custom built cars and motorcycles. A talented musician who always had a song (or video) to share, he was a fiercely loyal friend and kind soul who made everyone feel like family. Survivors include his wife Clare, daughter, Kate Roark, grandchildren, Daniel Ray "Hootie" Sizemore, John David Frost, sister, Deborah Frost, nephew Ben Wright, niece Caroline Logan as well as devoted friends Bill Wagner and Keenan Granville. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 6PM at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing. Visitation will be from 4pm until the service. Rev. Brad Salyers will officiate.
