Obituary of John Kent Davis

John "Kent" Davis ,64, lost his 2 year battle to cancer at Bluegrass Care Navigators at UK on January 8, 2022. Kent was born in Lexington, Ky and attended Tates Creek High School. As a young boy, he rode horses and competed in many horse shows. He would later work at various horse farms. He also learned plumbing from his father at an early age and eventually joined  Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 452 in 2000. Through his career, he acquired his Journeyman’s and Med-Gas license.

Kent was known as a hard worker, a great provider, a free spirit, avid reader, animal whisperer, motorcyclist, hobbyist mechanic, and lover of sci-fi. He and Adrienne spent 36 years together raising their children and homing quite a few cats. 

Kent is survived by his wife Adrienne (Wade), daughter Kendra, son Derek, mother Mary-Jane (Grant), sisters Mimi, Casey, Becky, brothers Scott (Christine), Ross, Justin, Aunt JoAnn Barksdale(Tommy) , and numerous extended family .He was preceded in death by his father, Ora “Darrell”, Stepmother Alice, brother Jeff and his Grandparents.

 His cremation is being handled by Clark Legacy Center. No funeral or memorial service is planned at this time.
