Obituary of Richard Lee Adams

Richard Lee Adams, 69, husband of Marilyn Theresa Adams, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Charles Robert Adams and Rosa Lee (Dunford) on June 18, 1952. Mr. Adams worked in the Equine Industry for many years and was currently working as a staff member for Dixiana Farms. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and loved studying the bible and singing worship songs. Mr. Adams was a true outdoorsman, loving to fish, camp and kayaking. An avid University of Kentucky Sports fan. He loved spending time with family and friends, and spending time at the beach. In addition to his wife of 36 years, he will be lovingly remembered by his son, Joshua Adams, Lexington; granddaughter, Sofia Alicia Adams; sister, Janie Boitnott, NC; brothers, Allen Muse, Michael Muse and Nathaniel Muse, all of VA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his birth parents, he was preceded in death by his parents who raised him, Kendrick and Garnett “Sue” Lane and his brother, Cecil Boitnott of North Carolina.  

Funeral Service will be 5:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing with Pastor James Schreiner officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church.
