Obituary of Nelson Bruner McIntosh

Today our world is a little bit dimmer, one of its bright lights has gone out.  Nelson Bruner McIntosh has passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.  He was born in Shelbyville, KY on August 23, 1944 to the late Omer and Eva Wolfe McIntosh.  Not only was he a sales manager in the meat business for most of his life, he was a Veteran of the US Army, but he was so much more. 

He was a father to Brian Poe and Paige Appelt, and an amazing grandpa to Eva Appelt and Hallie Appelt.  Not one day passed that he did not reach out to his grandchildren and tell them he loved them, they were his everything.  Nelson loved his wife Linda McIntosh of almost 50 years who he spent every waking moment with. 

Nelson not only lived life but celebrated life, his home was always open to family and friends, and you could find him golfing, barbecuing, and watching/attending sports with a smile and laughter.  For all of this and more, you are deeply loved and going to be sorely missed.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
