Obituary of Barbara Goodrich McCarthy

Frankfort – Barbara Goodrich McCarthy, 90, widow of John J. McCarthy, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was a native of New Haven, Connecticut. Barbara was born on February 3, 1931 to the late Arthur Goodrich and Marjorie Peters Goodrich McHugh. She was a teacher and homemaker. Barbara loved reading, researching family genealogy, and dogs.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue (Fred) Steinbrecher, Frankfort, and Claudia McCarthy, FL; her sons, John McCarthy, PA, Jared (Jenny Bergman) McCarthy, NY, and James P. McCarthy, NY; as well as her two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 37 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Goodrich Rishi.
