Obituary of Joan Crawford Thomasson

Joan Crawford Thomasson, 94, wife of the late Floyd A. Thomasson Jr., passed away on November 9, 2021 in Lexington.  Mrs. Thomasson was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 26, 1927 to the late Edwin and Miriam Crawford.  She was a member of Walnut Hill church in Lexington.     

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Kim) Thomasson, Brent (Iris) Thomasson, and Floyd A. (Josephine) Thomasson III; granddaughters, Erin Thomasson McCoy, Janessa Morera, Kelly Thomasson Shealy, Jessica Thomasson; grandsons, Brad Thomasson, and Joseph Morera; and eight great grandchildren. 

Mrs. Thomasson was an avid reader, she loved nature and the outdoors and cooking. Her family also described her as being very social, enjoyed her time in Florida, and above all, being a loving wife and mother. She also had a fondness for pets, especially for her dog, Holly.
