Obituary of Stoner "Stoney" Tatman

Stoner "Stoney" Tatman, 77, husband of Joella Tatman died on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in Nicholasville, KY. He and his wife Joella raised five children, one of whom  proceeded him in death Donna Mae Tatman. His other children are Teresa Tatman Fraley, Stoner (Tony) Tatman wife Sandy, Alan Tatman, and Katherine (Kitty) Tatman. They are blessed with 13 grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren and many “adopted” stray needy children.  Stoney worked hard to support his family but was not about “the job” he was about the family.  Stoney’s second love in life was sports   Basketball, football, baseball, and girls softball.  He devoted over 36 years to the youth of Jessamine County and was a mentor and coach to hundreds of children and young teens. He taught life lessons and kindness, yet he was a fierce competitor on the fields or court.When his health began to fail, Stoney turned his attention backto music another favorite of his.  He would strum his guitar and sing and write songs.  He performed karaoke and became a favorite to many crowds. He also loved to dance, Joella and he spent countless hours on the dance floor.Stoney never met a stranger. He loved to talk and listen to his friends and acquaintances in the county. He will be sorely missed because he gave love and received love in return.  A service will be 11am Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Rd followed by a visitation until 2:45pm. Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
