Obituary of Florence Lambert Lykins
Frankfort – Florence Lambert Lykins, 93, was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She left this world surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was born in Morehead, Kentucky on December 10, 1927 to the late Delaine “Doc” and Minnie Florence Moore Lambert. She was the wife of the late William Thomas “Bill” Lykins, of Pikeville and Versailles.
She is survived by her son, Michael D. Templeman, Frankfort; her grandchildren, Beth (Jeff) Brock, Frankfort, Michael “Chip” (Elizabeth) Templeman II, Versailles, and Martha (Rick) McCrary, Simpsonville; her great-grandchildren, Garrett Brock, Mattie Brock, Grace Templeman, Addison Templeman, and an additional one on the way, as well as, many extended family members and friends.
Florence was known for her skill in the kitchen, her hospitality, and her sweet and kind demeanor. She never turned anyone away from her table. She made a tremendous impact on the lives of all those around her and will be greatly missed, although we all remain faithful that we will be reunited once again. Her light will continue to shine bright through all those that loved her.
A short, private family ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Templeman Family Cemetery, Frankfort. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd is in charge of arrangements.
