Brenda Murphy

Obituary of Brenda Carroll Murphy

Brenda Carroll Murphy, 67, wife of Edward Murphy, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born March 27, 1954 in Nicholasville, Kentucky to the late Dewey and Mary Alice Cheek.

Brenda was known as a kind soul, everyone that knew her always described her as such a sweet and kind person with a heart to love everyone. She loved the Lord, her husband, family, friends and of course her dogs. She was an avid UK WIildcats fan, loved listening to John Michael Montgomery and was obessed with snowmen.  The best way to descibe our sweet Aunt would be a heart of gold with a touch of a sass! She will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will never forgot the impact that she has had on all of our lives.

Besides her husband she is survived by her siblings; Eldon (Gail) Cheek, Roy (Deborah) Cheek and Patsy Casteel; several nieces and nephews, Judy (Jeff ) Cheek, Eldon (Candice) Cheek, Jr., Mary (Josh) Young, Erica (Brian) Pinney, Tommy (Summer) Cheek, David (Sarah) Cheek and Adam Cheek; great nieces and nephews, Austin (Christina) Murphy, Dallas Murphy, Caitlin (Jake) Lamb, Alyssa Pinney, Elizabeth Perry, Bethany Pinney, Brett Cheek, Ethan Pinney, Coleman Cheek, Charles Cheek, Callie Cheek and Noah Cheek; great great niece and nephew, Matthew and Maggie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Mary and her brother Coleman Cheek.

Celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, Novemeber 4, 2021 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
